PROGRAM DESCRIPTION:
Under the direction of Juan Carlos Gallego, professor of Modern Languages and Literatures, students will learn about Spain and the European Union by exploring aspects as varied as government, finance, education, religious practices, social and cultural values, and everyday life.

They will evaluate the significance of how differing perspectives and trends affect these communities, and learn about topics such as Spain's government, religious beliefs and practices, educational and health systems, and how this compares to the U.S. and Europe.

The abroad portion of the program will be held primarily in Madrid, with included excursions to Granada, Toledo, and Segovia.

PROGRAM FEE INCLUDES*

• Airport pick up on July 6
• Housing in a host family and/or university residences, dependent upon availability
• Three meals a day
• Laundry in host family
• One-day excursions to Toledo and Segovia
• Two-day, one-night excursion to Granada
• Cultural Visits in Madrid + Cultural Activities

• Classes are held on the Universidad Complutense de Madrid campus.
• Course taught in English by Professor Juan Carlos Gallego
• 3 units from CSUF (Satisfies General Education requirements C3 and Z at CSUF. Transferable for non-CSUF students.)
